I have this very small but easily fixable problem. When editing videos I have to line up my audio file up with my video file. Now that I have two cameras I have to line up three files together. The picture below show the audio clips with the Clapper it makes this process a lot easier to sync. It’s a terrible picture, I hope you can see what going on. Before I build the clapper, I just clapped with my hands. This works okay, but with the movie clapper I noticed a higher spike in the editing software. I also noticed that the clip is shorter then the hand clap clip so it makes it even easier.
I have been told that the movie clapper was designed to do this. I had no idea that’s what they are for. After doing a few video using this I see that it very useful. I also been told that the white board also sync the white balance on the cameras. I don’t use it for that yet, but maybe some day when I grow up I’ll have a camera that is good enough that I’ll need to match the white balance.
